Content Development

Relevant content development simply involves putting together information relative to what the client/business is trying to sell.  The information itself is readily available through research and product managers.  It merely has to be assembled in such a manner as to make it compelling to the target audience.

Writers are responsible for the transfer of information in such a way as to result in a trial or sale.  That means the writer has to develop a rapport with the reader and  gain his immediate trust to keep his attention throughout the piece.

  • Try to maintain some type of connection with the reader. Talk to him directly.
  • Demonstrate the benefit of the product as it relates to the potential user.
  • Keep all copy relevant to the topic at hand. Don't stray.
  • Offer credibility with testimonials or relevant examples of the product benefits.
  • Make the copy something everyone will understand.  Stay away from obscure words.
  • Successfully convey the message.  Get to the point and stay on target.
  • Persuade the reader to take some type of action, whether it be trial or purchase.
  • Make ordering or contact easy with a call to action box - or a link back to  you.

While content marketing may seem labor intensive, it offers long term benefits.  You are not only promoting products and services, you're buiding a brand recognition for the business as well.

Most information/writing today  is disseminated on line.  If it's informative, well written material,  and meaningful to the prospect, it will be passed to friends creating a viral effect.  Today, more than ever, it's important to capture the attention of your audience and keep it. If written well, the viral impact will have a lasting effect on your business reputation.
